How does Professor Pierre Guerreschi use Pixacare on a daily basis?

As part of the CHU HealthTech Connection Day in Lille, CHU Média reported on the Pixacare application, a solution that is transforming medical photo library management.

Professor Pierre Guerreschi, Head of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Lille University Hospital, has been using Pixacare since November 2020. With almost 12,000 photos saved in the app, he's a seasoned user who's convinced of the benefits this technology offers in his daily medical practice.

Pixacare, a daily reflex for your photos.

Professor Guerreschi shares the main benefits of Pixacare and how he uses it every day:

  1. Simplified photo-taking: photos are taken directly with the app from your smartphone, offering speed and convenience.
  2. Secure hosting: photos are automatically stored on an HDS-certified cloud, guaranteeing complete data confidentiality and security.
  3. Collaborative sharing: images can be shared with the medical team, facilitating exchanges and discussions at staff meetings.
  4. Optimized tracking: the addition of keywords enables precise and efficient tracking of clinical cases, simplifying data search and analysis.
  5. Patient participation: Pixacare offers patients the chance to send in their own photos, reducing unnecessary trips to the hospital and improving their comfort.

An expected development: the integration of videos.

Professor Guerreschi is enthusiastic about Pixacare's forthcoming integration of video capture and management functionality. Expected in the coming weeks, this new feature will enable users to record videos of lesions for more complete documentation.
